Design Philosophy
Created as a response to the growing demand for safe plate cuirasses that remain flexible, comfortable and visually striking. This construction combines solid protection with dynamic movement capabilities.
Mobility & Construction
Both the breastplate and backplate are divided, allowing for natural body movement. The back skirt uses floating rivets, while the front is connected with flexible leather, ensuring mobility where it matters most.
Protection
The lower back and pelvis are covered with rigid protection, while the front skirt remains flexible, allowing bending, kicking and full range of motion without compromising safety.
Advantages over Brigantine
Large steel plates absorb impacts more effectively than segmented constructions. The cuirass is also easier to maintain, as it does not require care of outer fabric, and it maintains its appearance longer over time.
