Duel shields must be made in a different technology than the bohurt ones. The use of leather on the rims of such a large shield would increase weight enormously, and no duelist can afford that. That is why, we replaced leather with a material. We stick the plywood around with a rope, then we stick a strip of fabric around it. Only the top canvas is glued onto the prepared base. This construction of the shield is the most optimal design for duels.
