Great Helm "Hawberk"
Description
Great Helm based on the helmet of Sir Nicholas Hawberk.
In its original shape it did not have vents, but to meet the needs of sportsmen and reenactors who want to see their opponent easily - you can choose an option with vents.
This is a versatile and safe helmet for both reenactment and medieval combat like buhurts.
It's made of hardened 2 mm high-carbon steel as standard. You can also choose options to reinforce the upper part of the helmet, and we will make the entire upper part (from the ears up) of 3 mm steel.
This type of helmet can be a comfortable, lightweight, but still safe form of head protection. You can use it with and without a chainmail collar.
If you choose the option without a chainmail collar - you will gain lower weight and mobility. However, consider an additional neck protection worn independently of the helmet, such as our gorget.
- Helmet can be ready-to-fight
- Two types of paddings are used - liner and foam padding
- Helmet can have fully prepared straps system: back strap (to brigantine/cuirass), chin strap and jaw strap (keeps the jaw in steady distance away from the front of the helmet)
Helmet is made-to-measure. We will contact you with measuring instructions after the order is placed.
