Why Our Shields Are Better
Most shields on the market use either rope with fabric reinforcement or leather sewn onto the edges — both solutions have limitations.
• Rope and fabric alone do not sufficiently protect the plywood, leading to faster wear and damage
• Sewn leather may come loose over time, exposing the shield and affecting its appearance
Reinforced Construction
To overcome these issues, we combine all key reinforcement methods:
• 8 mm thick rope glued onto a 10 mm plywood base
• 2.5–3 mm thick leather glued to the rope and edges
This construction strengthens the entire structure, prevents edge damage, and significantly increases the lifespan of the shield.
