It is a good choice for every fighter especially the person who thinks that the steel buckler is too heavy. Wooden bucklers are very convenient for duels, but also for grappling in bohurt. They are less disturbing and are more comfortable in catching the opponent. However, you cannot make a strong stroke, but if you are the person who does not focus on hitting with the buckler it will be a better choice.
Bohurt shields in GoHurt technology are unique.
The reconstruction and bohurt market offers mainly two types of shields: those with rope and fabric reinforcement on the edges or leather reinforcement sewn to the shield. Both of these technologies have their drawbacks. When you buy a shield with only rope and material, you must be aware that it will not serve you for a long time. The lack of skin causes that the plywood in the disc crumbles with each blow. On the other hand, the leather sewn on the outside does its work, but relatively quickly it begins to peel off the dial, looking unsightly and exposing the dial to cracks.
This is why we use all possible reinforcements during creating our shields. An 8 mm rope is glued onto the plywood. 2,5-3 mm thick leather is glued on the rope and edges. We also stick the inner layer of the shield, creating a composite made of various materials to strengthen the entire structure. This results in a long lifespan of the shield. All you have to do is fix the painting from time to time, but there's nothing you can do about it since you got the idea that you want to hit your head with halberds.
Shield in basic version is unpainted. If you want any specific painting - use our Designer or contact us.
